Special Admission Criteria for Its Master’s Programs in Engineering and Computer Science

According to reports from the Public Relations department and the Khatam University website, following the announcement of Master’s entrance exam results, an orientation session for the Engineering and Computer Science Master’s programs—specifically focusing on the “Data Science” and “Algorithms and Computing” tracks—was held on Monday, August 31, 2026. The event took place at the Khatam University Amphitheater and was attended by the CEO of TeIAS, faculty members of the Engineering and Computer Science department, and a significant number of prospective students currently in the university selection phase.

The hybrid session (held both in-person and online) commenced with Dr. Hossein Hojjat, a faculty member at both TeIAS and Khatam University, presenting the research achievements and successes of TeIAS faculty, students, and alumni in these fields.

Subsequently, Dr. Mohammad Morovati, CEO of TeIAS, provided a brief overview of the institute’s history and emphasized the international and domestic scientific standing and impact of both TeIAS and Khatam University.

The report further noted that through the concerted efforts of Khatam University and TeIAS faculty, the “Data Science” specialization was officially approved by the Ministry of Higher Education and has been integrated into the curriculum.

Expanding on Dr. Morovati’s remarks, Dr. Naimeh Omidvar detailed the scientific accomplishments of faculty and students within the Data Science track over recent years, highlighting various achievements in academic schools, conferences, lectures, and training workshops.

In another segment of the presentation, the institute’s research and educational facilities were showcased, including: high-performance servers equipped with multiple GPUs, and vibrant, collaborative research environments led by experienced professors, offering opportunities for research collaboration with top global scholars.

Additionally, Dr. Behnahm Bahrak discussed the Large Language Models (LLM) Research Laboratory, highlighting recent successes in publishing high-impact papers at various international AI and NLP conferences.

Ms. Nabatchi, the Department Secretary, concluded the session by outlining the advantages of studying Engineering and Computer Science at TeIAS and detailing the specialized support and facilities available to elite students.

The session concluded with a Q&A panel, where all participating faculty members discussed their respective research areas and answered questions from the audience.
