The Gathering of the Alumni of Three Departments of Khatam University

The gathering of the alumni of the English Language Department, Department of Law, and Department of Psychology and Educational Sciences of Khatam University was held in the presence of Dr. Majid Ghasemi, the president of this university.

According to the public relations and website of Khatam University, under the initiative of Khatam University's Alumni Relations Office, a gathering of graduates of the English Language Department, Department of Law, and Department of Psychology and Educational Sciences was held at this university on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, with the presence of Dr. Majid Ghasemi, the president of Khatam University. The members of the board of directors as well as the faculty members of the mentioned groups were also present at this gathering.

Dr. Majid Ghasemi, the president of Khatam University, in his speech, while expressing his satisfaction at the presence of the alumni of the afore-mentioned departments, emphasized the necessity of continuing the connection of the alumni with Khatam University and discussed the program of Khatam University to create a structure for financial investment with the help of graduates of this university.

He devoted most of his speech to listening to the ideas of the graduates, speaking about their scientific and work concerns in a friendly atmosphere, and in some cases issuing the necessary and appropriate orders to remove the existing obstacles. One of the students wanted to know the possibility of admitting a foreign student to Khatam University, about which Dr Ghasemi asked the relevant authorities to follow up on this request.  

The president of Khatam University also expressed his hope that the graduates of this university would display their real talents and increase the strength of this group in a national synergy in Pasargad Financial Group.

Before the speech of the president of Khatam University, Dr. Fatemeh Karimi Jafari, the director of the alumni office of this university, while presenting a report on the activities of this office, said: “The alumni office of Khatam University was formed in January 2021, and its main mission is to establish and maintain mutual communication and attract the participation of alumni in various fields.”

According to Karimi Jafari, Khatam University has 3221 students, 248 of whom were students of the psychology and educational sciences department, 236 people are those who have studied in the English language department, and 130 students studied at the law department. Graduates of the psychology and educational sciences department, English Language Department, and Law Department are 69%, 79%, and 71% respectively. Besides, 9% of the students of the English language department, 5% of the students of the law department and 5% of the students of the psychology and educational sciences department have published books in various journals.

In the following, Dr. Mohammad Mahdi Hajmalek, the director of the English language department of Khatam University, in his speech, stated that this university has been accepting students in the fields of translation and English literature since 2014. He also emphasized the approach in this group on constructive interaction between faculty members and students, supporting students, and the observance of academic and scientific principles in carrying out their projects.

In addition, Dr. Kamal Sajjadi, the director of Khatam University's Law Department, in his speech at this gathering, stressed the need for law graduates to be open-minded when facing legal claims that individuals and citizens share with them as legal advisors or lawyers, and he emphasized compliance with ethical principles as the reason for their success.

Dr. Abdol Rahim Noh Ebrahim, a professor at the Department of Psychology and Educational Sciences of Khatam University shared his memories of the period when he was a student in the U.S. and emphasized the need for professors and faculty members to pay attention to the various talents of students so as to help them express their creativity.

Additionally, Dr. Masoumeh Estaji, a faculty member of Khatam University's English Language Department, referred to the advantages of Khatam University in achieving success and mentioned this scientific institution as a sponsor for her in conducting research and teaching. She also addressed the graduates of Khatam University and believed that success can be achieved through hard work and benefitting from necessary facilities. She mentioned that a suitable platform that has already been provided by Khatam University can be very essential.

Dr. Mohammad Reza Hashemi, another faculty member of Khatam University's English Language Department, also spoke about the impact of the university institution in creating good memories in the students' life path, and he considered Khatam University to have two characteristics of providing a field for creativity and the formation of friendships and good memories.

According to the same report, this gathering of graduates of Khatam University ended with live music and a souvenir photo of the graduates with their professors.
