According to the website of Khatam University, Dr. Majid Ghasemi, the president of Khatam University, in the gathering of the graduates of the computer engineering and electrical engineering departments of this university, which was held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, followed up his speech by narrating memories from the period of time when he was a student at Dar Al Fonoun high school.
He then touched on the importance and role of motivation and youth power in advancing the affairs of Pasargad Bank at the beginning of its establishment, and by quoting a memory in this regard, continued: “At the time when I was establishing Pasargad Bank, I was very worried about its core banking. One day while climbing, I saw some elite young people who had come to the mountain, talking together about the problems that had arisen on the way of their innovative ideas in different companies and organizations.”
Ghasemi continued: “Each of those young people had a complaint about something and I realized that they were very motivated, but their initial experiences in implementing their innovative ideas with different organizations and companies were not pleasant. There, I shared with them the concerns I had in my mind and said that I wanted to establish a bank whose software was domestic, and this is how we established Fanap with the help of the same young people. Fanap was able to remove Pasargad Bank from all unnecessary domestic and foreign affiliations within 6 years in this regard.”
Pointing out that Khatam University has been the originator of fields such as convergent technologies and data science, he described the way of doing research in this university as completely smooth and added: “The only thing we ask our students and graduates, is to continue the path of research. Keep this in mind that we support you and we do not have any budget restrictions in this regard.”
Dr. Ghasemi, who was speaking to the graduates of computer engineering and electrical engineering fields of Khatam University, while offering them a proposal to establish a financial services company, advised this group of graduates of Khatam University and said: “In whatever field you are, count on yourself and value your skills and talent. Know yourself and never consider yourself a graduate, but a scholar.”
