The major concerns of the General Directorate of Academics include:

 

  • Examination affairs, admission, registration and exams;

 

  • Thesis/Dissertation;

 

  • Graduates’ Affairs;

 

  • Special Case Review Commission.

 

The management of academic services also undertakes several other responsibilities and roles in its organizational potential, summarized as follows:

 

  • Coordinating and unifying procedures among directorates of academics of different faculties;

 

  • Communicating and supervising the implementation of ministerial and university regulations and educational directives;

 

  • Planning and supervising student admissions;

 

  • Managing inquiries & correspondence with the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology as needed;

 

  • Identifying and handling educational challenges of students with unforeseen problems during their studies;

 

  • Identifying and investigating the educational and regulatory needs of the university and reporting them to authorities;

 

  • Providing guidance and responding to clients, students and graduates’ questions and requests;

 

  • Coordination and negotiations with public authorities to provide the necessary educational facilities (including the Iranian Public Conscription Organization, and National Organization of Educational Testing);

 

  • Undertaking requests of transfer, inbound, and exchange students (both domestic and international) based on the relevant regulations, directives and procedures;

 

  • Making efforts to maintain and increase academic motivation in students;

 

  • Striving to make optimal use of modern facilities and technologies in order to update and improve current educational procedures;

 

  • Contributing to educational policy-making and taking necessary measures to improve the quality of education;

 

  • Reviewing current educational regulations and reporting to relevant authorities;

 

  • Planning, implementing, and supervising e-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.
