Social Black Holes Have Been Caused by Human Ignorance

Ali Akbar Salehi, a member of the founding board of Khatam University had a speech during the Teacher's Day commemoration ceremony at this university. In his speech he emphasized on knowledge and learning different sciences and said: “Throughout history, human has been a victim of their own ignorance, and the current social black holes are caused by the ignorance of human themselves.”
According to the reporter of Khatam University’s website, on the day of May 1st, the commemoration ceremony of the Teacher’s Day was held at Khatam University with the presence of Dr. Majid Ghasemi, the president of Khatam University; Ali Akbar Salehi, a member of the founding board; the vice-presidents of the university and the faculty members.
In this ceremony, Ahmad Mahmoudian, the vice-president of Management and Resources Development of Khatam University congratulated the Teacher's Day. Ahmad Mahmoudian had previosuly been awarded a membership in the Higher Education Development Council of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (the second most important and influential council in this ministry) as the chairman of Khatam University. He has also been granted the title of the first president of a non-governmental university who is a member of this council which is a positive development for Khatam University.
Khatam University's plan to admit 40 faculty members in 2023-2024
The vice-president of the Management and Resources Development of Khatam University also announced the admission of 40 new faculty members, the establishment of the Faculty of Science and New Technologies, the promotion of the Architecture Group to the Faculty of Architecture, and the addition of two new buildings to educational spaces, among the programs of Khatam University in 2023-2024.
Majid Ghasemi, the president of Khatam University, congratulated the Teacher's Day and welcomed Ali Akbar Salehi, a member of the founding board of this university. Ghasemi mentioned him as a prominent character who has been very influential in various sectors in the country and said: "Today, I prefer to listen to Dr. Salehi's precious talks instead of talking myself.”
Ali Akbar Salehi, a member of the founding board of Khatam University, started his speech afterwards and praised the efforts of Khatam University’s president, who is also the president of Pasargad Bank. He mentioned: “Dr. Ghasemi could have spent the budgets of Pasargad Bank somewhere else but he preferred to spend a part of them on Khatam University, which proves his amazing personality.”
In addition, while congratulating the Teacher's Day, he honored the memory of Martyr Motahhari and said: “I owe everything I have learned about Islam to people like Martyr Motahari, Dr. Shariati, Mr. Mohit Tabatabai and Rashed.”
Salehi then pointed out the significance of learning different sciences, especially in the current era, and added: “Throughout history, human has been a victim of their own ignorance, and the current social problems are also caused by that. If we review the human history, we will see that although human knowledge has increased and some issues have been solved, many other problems have also arisen.”
This member of the founding board of Khatam University added: “If we wish not to be the slaves of others in the 21st century, the only way for us is through increasing our knowledge and science. Slavery has changed its nature today and even if a person has a prosperous life, without mastering the science of the day, they easily become slaves.”
Referring to the scientific developments in the world, especially in the two fields of Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Technology, he addressed the importance of skill training in the current era and said: “Today, large companies such as Google, Apple and I. B. M. emphasize on people's abilities and capabilities rather than their degrees.”
While emphasizing on the importance of education based on knowledge in improving the society, Salehi said: “You can kill a terrorist with a gun, but you can eradicate terrorism with education. It should be noted that this education should be comprehensive. A society achieves stability when the majority of the members of the society are educated.”
He also emphasized on the need to teach social skills to students and referred to the important term of governance and said: "If we want to have an advanced country, we need a compass. When we have a compass, we find the right direction and move in the same direction. In addition, the laws and regulations that are approved for implementation must be designed according to the current conditions.”
Seyyed Reza Jalalzadeh, the director of Khatam University’s Specialized Training Center, also congratulated the Teacher's Day and appreciated the efforts of Khatam University’s president, Dr. Ghasemi, for honoring the position of university professors and establishing Khatam University with the assistance of a group of the most prominent scholars in the country.
This faculty member of Khatam University assumed the goal of teachers to help students grow in their life and said: “Our duty is to teach this goal through our behavior in the classroom and in practice.”
In this ceremony, Dr. Heydari, a faculty member of Khatam University, while giving some points about the importance of the teaching profession, pointed to the statistics of employment in the education sector and said: “In Iran, about one million teachers, 48% men and 52% women, are employed. In this year's budget, 200 thousand billion Tomans have also been allocated to the education sector, of which about 95% is used to pay salaries and wages. It is necessary to pay more attention to other crucial matters in the education sector as well.”
At the end of the Teacher's Day commemoration ceremony at Khatam University, a number of educational winners were honored with a certificate of appreciation based on the bylaws of the promotion of faculty members of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
