Khatam University is a Wisdom-based University with Rational Decisions

Majid Ghasemi, the president of Khatam University, considered this university as a wisdom-based university which always aims to make rational decisions and said: "One of the characteristics of wisdom is having concerns for the public good, which is at the heart of all the university's activities."

According to the reporter of Khatam University’s website, at the beginning of the new year and on the first day of the universities' operations in the country after the Nowruz holidays, Dr. Majid Ghasemi, the president of Khatam University, met with the vice-chancellors, directors, colleagues and faculty members of this university in an intimate meeting. He also congratulated the holy month of Ramadan to everyone.

In this New Year meeting, which was held in the amphitheater hall of Khatam University and was conducted by Seyyed Hossein Razavi Haji Agha, a faculty member of the university, the president of Khatam University stated that Khatam University is a wisdom-based university which always aims to make rational decisions. He further added that having concerns for the public good is one of the characteristics of wisdom which is the top priority at Khatam University.

"Today, western authorities believe that three groups of scholars lack wisdom; The first group are those who have outdated knowledge, the second group are those who have much knowledge but do not use it, and the third group are those who have updated knowledge and use it but not for the public good. Considering these, we are determined to utilize modern knowledge for the public good" he added.

Referring to the ideas that were implemented by him and other members of the founding board of this scientific institution during the establishment of Khatam University, Ghasemi wished success for all the colleagues and faculty members of this university. He kindly asked them to try to be a good role model for the youth of this country and always give them hope to build a better future.

The president of Khatam University stressed: "In the Board of Trustees and the Board of Governors of Khatam University, we always care about the excellence of our colleagues and faculty members on a daily basis. Last year, 4 faculty members were promoted and 3 more will achieve higher ranks this year. This is very gratifying for us and we will not hesitate to support the research activities of our colleagues in this university."

Focusing on the major plans and programs of this university on the way to becoming a wisdom-based university, he added: "The Ministry of Science has particular expectations from Khatam University, and drafting the statute of this wisdom-based university is one of the missions of us in the future."

Referring to the steps that Pasargad bank has taken in the course of its activities, the CEO of Pasargad Bank described it as "the flight of a bird" whose feet and body cannot be harmed by the obstacles on the ground. He also emphasized: "We wish to follow this path at Khatam University as well, and based on this, we are defining a "flight plan" for Khatam University."

Ghasemi ended his speech by congratulating the New Year to the colleagues and faculty members of Khatam University followed by several poems from Hafez, a famous poet of Iran.
