Published: Friday, March 3, 2023
The president of Khatam University said: "We have to review many regulations in the field of digital economy."
Majid Ghasemi, the president of Iran Management Association, in an interview with the reporter of Khatam University’s website, discussed the outcome of holding the "First National Conference on Digital Transformation" which was organized by this association at Khatam University, stating that Iran Management Association, Pasargad Bank and Khatam University have joint activities which are formed in a mutual exchange of opinions and said: "In the field of digital transformation, Pasargad Financial Group is currently a leading group. We have this ability in our own bank at a high level and can compete globally. For example, 97% of our bank transactions are done in our virtual banking system and there is no need for customers to visit the bank branches in person."
"Fortunately, very good speeches were presented at the digital transformation conference, although the conference was very compact and short. This valuable conference should be formed at a national level. We have extracted some points as the summary of the conference that we will present to the decision-making authorities in the field of digital transformation. These conferences are actually a kind of warning for those who need to hear these messages."
The President of Khatam University added: "According to the G20 evaluation of more than 100 countries in the world, our rank is 51, which might show that our country is not far behind. However, for Iran, which is a highly civilized country, has been a leader in many fields, and has many elites teaching in international universities, a serious step should be taken to correct this rank."
The CEO of Pasargad Bank, expressing his hope that the message of this conference can be inspiring in this regard, continued: "The message of this conference is that we need to review many regulations in the field of digital economy, establish coherence between them, and give necessary supports to digital transformations in the country, in terms of decision-making, politically and financially. Especially for start-ups, very serious actions must be taken so that they can actually deliver the messages related to the digitalization of the economy to the country's economy."
