The dean of the Computer Engineering Department of Khatam University believes: “Since working in Fanap the ultimate goal of Khatam University’ students of Computer Engineering, this organization, as a representative of the industry, can constantly give us feedback and remind us what skills need to be taught to our students.”
In an interview with the reporter of Khatam University's website, Ehsan Akhtarkavan, the dean of the Computer Engineering Department of Khatam University, explained this department’s joint cooperation with Fanap: “One of the tasks that we have defined in Khatam University's Computer Engineering Department is to provide human resources for Pasargad Financial Group. At the same time, one of the sectors which is very related to the field of ICT is FANAP and its subsidiary companies.”
“From the beginning, when the discussion of cooperations between Khatam University and Fanap was raised, we immediately came to the conclusion that we would start a bachelor's course in Computer Engineering at the university, which happened last year. Our goal is that our Computer Engineering students have a relative advantage over students of other universities in the country” he added.
The dean of the Computer Engineering Department of Khatam University further said: “In Computer field, there is generally a big gap between what students learn at university and what they have to do after graduation and in the market. Usually, there are companies that offer courses with the duration of 6 months or one year which can prepare Computer Engineering graduates to work in the market. During the years that we serve undergraduate students, we try to include such courses both during their studies and separately so that there is no need for them to be trained anywhere after graduation.”
“Since working in FANAP is the ultimate goal of Khatam University’ students of Computer Engineering, this organization, as a representative of the industry, can constantly give us feedback and remind us what skills need to be taught to our students. The Computer Engineering department at Khatam University can invite experts working in FANAP as guest professors in various courses and train students as needed in the future” Akhtarkavan further added.
