The lecturer and management consultant in this report talked about the impact of holding the 7th National Conference on Organizational Culture among various executive bodies. “The existence of these conferences is a sign of the aliveness of the atmosphere of scientific thinking, which should be taken as a good omen,” he said.
In a conversation with the reporter of Khatam University’s website, Gholamreza Khaki, who is a lecturer and management consultant, discussed about the importance of holding the 7th National Conference on Organizational Culture with leadership and excellence approaches by Iran Management Association and Khatam University. “In Iran, terms such as “conference”, “congress”, “symposium”, etc. all have the same meaning and that is why we all think that such events are places where people are given a podium to give a speech behind and then leave! Conferences are places for three things; presenting new information to the audience, proposing real and relevant issues in the field, and establishing communications between members of the scientific and executive community of a particular field,” he added.
“Naturally, if more conferences are held and more varied topics are analyzed from different angles in a society, it is a sign of scientific mobility in that society. We should not expect the conferences to solve the chronic problems of the society and propose executive solutions but to be valuable opportunities for exchanging knowledge and experience. That is the responsibility of the consulting industry to provide executive solutions,” he emphasized.
Khaki, who had participated in this round of the conference with an article titled “The Impact of Organizational Culture on The Practical Wisdom of Leaders”, said: "The debate today is whether organizational cultures can lead to the development of rationality and if there is a connection between the rationality of the people working in an organization and its culture. It is the wisdom that determines what types of actions are allowed and what types of actions are not allowed, and organizational cultures determine what is appropriate for an organization’s development and what is not.”
This lecturer and management consultant discussed more about the impact of holding the 7th National Conference on Organizational Culture among various executive bodies and said: “I believe that the existence of these conferences and the events that are happening are a sign of the aliveness of the scientific thinking environment, which should be considered as a blessing.”
