Cooperation Agreement Signed Between Khatam University and Pasargad Insurance Company

According to the Public Relations and Website Office of Khatam University, the cooperation agreement was signed on the morning of Sunday, August 23, with the aim of developing scientific and research activities between Pasargad Insurance Company and Khatam University.

At the signing ceremony, Ahmad Mahmoudian, Vice President for Human Capital Development, Administration and Finance at Khatam University, referred to the university’s successful track record in providing educational services to employees of major companies such as MIDHCO and FANAP. He expressed hope that the cooperation agreement between Khatam University and Pasargad Insurance Company would likewise lead to positive outcomes and benefits for both parties.

He also spoke about the specialized courses offered by the university’s Center for Specialized Training and announced Khatam University’s readiness to organize similar programs in cooperation and partnership with Pasargad Insurance Company.

Bahaeddin Shariat, Vice President for Education and Research at Khatam University, also addressed the meeting. Referring to the history of insurance education in Iran, which dates back several decades to the establishment of the Higher Insurance Institute, he highlighted Khatam University’s strong capabilities in training and education in this field. He expressed hope that with Pasargad Insurance Company taking a more active role in educational and research collaboration with the university, these capacities could be put into practice, particularly for the benefit of talented students in the field.

Nasim Saemian, Director of Public Relations and Website at Khatam University, also welcomed the senior executives of Pasargad Insurance Company who attended the signing ceremony. She expressed hope that, drawing on Khatam University’s existing academic and educational capacities, more substantial cooperation would develop between the two sides and pave the way for expanding collaboration into other areas.

At the ceremony, Seyed Reza Jalalzadeh, Director of Research Affairs at Khatam University, also gave a brief introduction to the university’s various departments and the scientific, educational, and research capabilities of each. Describing Pasargad Insurance Company as one of the country’s leading companies in terms of financial solvency, he announced Khatam University’s readiness to expand cooperation in various fields and said: “The recent agreement has been developed around the following four areas: problem-oriented research projects, internships and practical workplace training, the purposeful use of dissertations and theses, and specialized and customized training.”

He added that Khatam University is prepared to introduce talented students who are interested in working in areas related to the insurance industry to Pasargad Insurance Company for internships and practical workplace training. He also stated that the university’s Center for Specialized Training is ready for any form of cooperation with Pasargad Insurance Company in organizing specialized courses in this field.

Amir Baba akbari, Deputy Managing Director for Market Development and Human Resources and a member of the Executive Board of Pasargad Insurance Company, also spoke at the ceremony. Referring to the importance and position of the insurance industry in today’s world and the role that universities and academic institutions can play in improving the quality of services in this industry, he said: “The insurance industry is skills-based and professional. For this reason, graduates from a wide range of fields can enter the industry and pursue careers in it.”

He added: “With 1,500 employees, 100 branches, and 300 branch managers across the country, Pasargad Insurance Company is one of the leading insurance companies in Iran, and improving its educational services can certainly contribute to enhancing the quality of the services it provides. In line with this recent agreement, we will seek to identify and compile a list of our needs so that they can be addressed through the scientific, educational, and research support of Khatam University, and then submit that list to the university.”

The Deputy Managing Director of Pasargad Insurance Company stated that the company is ready to host talented Khatam University students who wish to complete internships and practical workplace training at the company. He also announced his company’s readiness to cooperate with the university in establishing and launching a master’s degree program in insurance, saying: “We are prepared, subject to terms and conditions that we can agree upon with Khatam University, to provide scholarships to talented students who will study insurance at the university.”

Baba akbari also proposed establishing a channel of communication with the Chartered Insurance Institute of London, in cooperation with Khatam University, to support the expansion of Pasargad Insurance Company’s activities in the international arena. In response, the Vice President for Human Capital Development, Administration and Finance at Khatam University emphasized that, should such an initiative serve the interests of both parties, the university is ready to provide the necessary cooperation.
