According to the Public Relations and Website Office of Khatam University, Information Technology (IT) refers to the use of computer systems, software, applications, and related technologies to process, manage, store, distribute, transmit, and protect information and data across interconnected computer networks.
In today's digital era, Information Technology plays a vital role in driving sustainable development, fostering innovation, enabling smart governance, and accelerating scientific progress. The rapid advancement and widespread application of IT have created new opportunities in education, research, industry, healthcare, the economy, and public services, significantly enhancing quality of life and contributing to the development of human capital.
According to Persian calendar, 12th of Tir (July 13) is officially designated as National Information Technology Day in Iran. This occasion provides a valuable opportunity to recognize and celebrate the dedication of IT professionals, researchers, faculty members, students, and all those whose expertise, creativity, and innovation are driving the country's digital transformation and technological progress.
