New heads of four academic departments were introduced

The new heads of the Research Division, as well as the new heads of the academic departments of “Psychology and Educational Sciences,” “Law,” “Finance and Risk Management,” and “Biomedical Engineering” at Khatam University were introduced.
According to Khatam University’s Public Relations Department, the farewell and introduction ceremony for the former and new managers of the Research Division and several academic departments of Khatam University was held this morning, Monday, January 26, 2026 in the presence of Dr. Majid Ghasemi, President of the University, along with the deputies and senior managers of the university.
At the ceremony, Dr. Ghasemi emphasized the necessity for faculty members to remain up to date in line with global developments in various fields and the needs of the academic community and the country. He stated:
“Faculty members of Khatam University must strive to enhance their own scientific standing within the country’s academic community, be able to improve the university’s level, and play an effective role in solving problems related to their fields of expertise in society.”
He described knowledge creation as the missing link in the university system and noted:
“The knowledge created through the efforts of our academic colleagues must also be practical and capable of addressing and resolving the country’s problems.”
Referring to the fact that Khatam University operates as a fifth-generation university, Dr. Ghasemi stressed the need for greater attention by various academic departments to up-to-date research topics and the practical application of academic and university knowledge. He added:
“In fifth-generation universities, research plays a fundamental role, and we must move toward becoming a competitive institution. This movement is a dynamic one, and we must take our next steps with attention to the factor of predictability.”
According to this report, during the ceremony, the new heads of the Research Division and the academic departments of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Law, Finance and Risk Management, and Biomedical Engineering were introduced, and appreciation was expressed for the efforts of the former managers of these departments.
Accordingly, by decree of the University President, Dr. Seyed Reza Jalalzadeh was introduced as the new Head of Research at the university, and a certificate of appreciation was presented in recognition of the efforts of Dr. Seyed Hossein Razavi Haji-Agha, the former head of this division.
Additionally, by decree of the University President, Dr. Mandana Niknam was introduced as the new Head of the Department of Psychology and Educational Sciences, and a certificate of appreciation was presented in recognition of the efforts of Dr. Marzieh Hashemi, the former head of the department.
Based on the same report, at today’s ceremony and by decree of the University President, Dr. Mohammad Sadegh Labbani Motlagh was introduced as the new Head of the Department of Law, and a certificate of appreciation was presented in recognition of the efforts of Dr. Seyed Kamal Sajjadi, the former head of the department.
Likewise, by decree of the University President, Dr. Pejman Abedifar was introduced as the new Head of the Department of Finance and Risk Management, and a certificate of appreciation was presented in recognition of the efforts of Dr. Saeed Rahimian, the former head of the department.
According to this report, in another decree issued by the President of Khatam University, Dr. Hamid Mirzadeh was appointed and introduced as the new Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
The President of Khatam University also accepted the resignation of Dr. Mohammad Javad Saqafi from the position of Dean of the Faculty of Art and Architecture and, by presenting a certificate of appreciation, expressed gratitude for his efforts during his tenure in this role.
