The New Head of the Research Affairs Unit at Khatam University Was Introduced

Dr. Seyed Reza Jalalzadeh was appointed and introduced as the new Director of Research Affairs by an official decree issued by the President of Khatam University.
According to Khatam University’s Public Relations Department, the farewell and introduction ceremony for the former and new Directors of Research Affairs at Khatam University was held this morning, Monday, January 26, 2026 with the presence of Dr. Majid Ghasemi, President of the University, along with deputies and senior managers of the institution.
According to this report, by decree of the University President, Dr. Seyed Reza Jalalzadeh was introduced as the Director of Research Affairs of the University, and a letter of appreciation was presented in recognition of the efforts of Dr. Seyed Hossein Razavi Haji-Agha, the former Director of this unit.
At the farewell and introduction ceremony for the former and new Directors of Research Affairs of Khatam University, Dr. Ghasemi, referring to the benefits of the circulation of elites within the organization and the impact of rotational management across its various units, expressed appreciation for the services and efforts of Dr. Razavi, the former Director of Research Affairs, especially for laying the foundations for many actions related to this sector in past years. At the same time, he considered success in the research sector to be contingent upon greater activity by faculty members in other groups and called for increased attention in this regard.
The President of Khatam University also referred to the reputable academic background of Dr. Jalalzadeh, a faculty member of the Department of Management at Khatam University and the new Director of Research Affairs, and wished him success on the path toward improving the performance of this sector and moving toward achieving the University’s defined goals in this area.
Subsequently, Dr. Hossein Razavi Haji-Agha, a faculty member of the Department of Management and the former Director of Research Affairs at Khatam University, in brief remarks, presented a short report on the activities carried out in this sector during the years he held responsibility for the unit. He expressed gratitude for the trust of the University President and the support provided to the research sector, and considered the achievements attained to be the result of the efforts of his colleagues in this unit and the cooperation of the University as a whole.
Additionally, Dr. Seyed Reza Jalalzadeh, the new Director of Research Affairs at Khatam University, in his remarks, expressed his satisfaction with being present and active in an academic and influential environment such as Khatam University. He thanked the University President for the trust placed in him by assigning responsibility for this sector, and, referring to his proposed program in this area, expressed hope that, with its approval by the Executive Board, we would witness an improvement in the performance of the University’s Research Affairs.
According to the aforementioned proposed program, comprehensive support for faculty members of the University in research affairs; strengthening the number and value of contracts related to the University’s engagement with industry; special support for faculty members who have had less activity in research affairs in order to strengthen their activities; constructive networking among faculty members to enhance the University’s research activities; constructive and active interaction with the University’s Educational Affairs Management as one of the main pillars driving the University’s macro-level objectives; identification, encouragement, and introduction of faculty members with outstanding activity in the field of research at the University level in short-term three-month periods; strengthening interaction with the University’s Public Relations Office to better and more extensively introduce research colleagues and the University’s research achievements on the website and social media in order to strengthen the Khatam University brand; planning to strengthen interaction with the University’s International Affairs Office in the areas of producing joint international articles, holding or participating in international scientific conferences, research contracts, and international training courses—are among the objectives planned by the new Director of Research Affairs.
Increasing and strengthening interaction with TEIAS in the field of research activities; strengthening interaction with subsidiary companies of the Pasargad Financial Group in three areas of “strengthening industry–university collaboration contracts”, “increasing research collaboration with managers and employees of this group with organizational affiliation to Khatam University”, and “increasing internship programs in terms of number and diversity”; improving the University’s ranking in national and global university ranking systems; strengthening the University’s laboratories and research centers; increasing and strengthening interaction between faculty members and the University’s Executive Board; reviewing and, if necessary, completing and strengthening faculty profiles in relevant national and international research and academic systems on a differentiated basis; identifying and publishing reference books in various disciplines through the University Press to strengthen the University’s brand; strengthening interaction with the University’s Innovation and Technology Center to conclude research contracts between faculty members and startups (innovation assistants) at national and international levels; increasing the number of the University’s scientific and research journals in various disciplines; and finally, establishing, strengthening, and supporting student scientific and research associations—are among the other objectives included in the proposed program of the new Director of Research Affairs at Khatam University.
