The Tale of Thesis Narrated by Graduates of Translation Studies

A series of scientific and social gatherings, entitled “The Tale of Thesis Narrated by Graduates of Translation Studies”, hosted by the Student Scientific Association of English Language Department in Collaboration with the Office of Cultural Affairs, were held at Khatam University. Organized over four consecutive weeks from October 14 to November 5, 2025, the program featured four graduates —Tina Rahmati, Shirin Sheikholeslami, Negin Mahjoub, and Amir Reza Moslehi— who shared their experiences of writing their theses. They discussed how their initial ideas evolved into research questions, the methodologies they adopted, the process of data collection and analysis, and the key research findings, while also reflecting on personal challenges, opportunities, and lessons learned. Each session was opened and concluded by Dr. Kaveh Bolouri, who introduced the event and moderated the Q&A, with Prof. Farzaneh Farahzad and Dr. Zeinab Amiri contributing additional insights and questions. At the end of each session, the invited alumnus was rewarded with a certificate of appreciation. This lively academic event was hoped to combine scholarly exploration with everyday concerns of thesis writing, creating a dynamic and engaging forum for students and faculty alike.
